Tip Tuesday: Mascara Saver

I haven't done a tip Tuesday in such a long time. To tell you the truth I forgot about it a little but it's back.
This week it's how to get the last of your mascara out of the tube before you toss it. Just add a few drops of contact solution in the bottle then stir it in with the mascara wand. Then you will have 3-4 more uses until it's TOTALLY gone.

Happy Tuesday, Lexie

Colorizing Shampoo

For all you gals that dye your hair you most likely know that you have to use color safe shampoos on your hair. I found this one the other day called Manic Panic. They are tinted to to complement your hair color. I want to get the red/pink one to see it it would slightly tint my hair red. That would be sweet & I will let you know!

Braided Headbands

I am loving this braided headband look. It has been popping up everywhere lately! One thing that I love about it is that it is very versatile. It can be formal, casual and Rihanna is sporting it so I guess it's red carpet worthy as well. There is also no one right way to wear this hair style.
Braided Headband
One way to wear it is to throw your hair in a ponytail leaving out two pieces of hair on each side of your head. Once your hair is in the ponytail then braid the two pieces of hair and wrap each one around your head.

Braids
You can also french braid the head band like these three pictures show. One you can middle part your hair and then braid each side on your head. Then they can meet up and you can put it in a ponytail, braid or a messy bun. The last option is parting your hair on the side and french braiding the side with more hair and comb the other side of hair to meet up with the braid and then put it in a ponytail or messy bun.

Getting Crafty

This was so easy to do and also, so inexpensive. All I did was bought vile of craft glitter at the store. Then I put a light coat of blue nail polish on a nail. Then I stuck my hand in a box and shook glitter on the finger that had the wet polish. Then you lightly press the glitter onto your nails so it is somewhat smooth. Repeat until you have done each finger. After each finger is done you can either repeat this process or add a clear coat to finish them off and you are all set!
